"LEVEL OF IMPORTANCE: Some, but not as much as others. It’s a statement on the state of the Volunteer program, and the expectations for 2012, that it’s not higher on this list, and not even the most important against a team from the state of Tennessee.

As much as I hate to say this I think they will go 6-6. I hope I am wrong. I just think Dooley will find a way to lose close games like he has in the past. At 6-6 they can sneak in to the Music City Bowl and bring a pile of fans to Nashville.

If nothing else...it will be better than 6-6. UT will not have to face back to back #1's this year in the middle of the season.

Read it to find out. It's funny, it's silly, it's positive....it's a Tennessee fans thread....which is what this site is for, right?

Last year was definetly a bust for many reasons but I think things are looking up. IF our key players stay healthy then that would be a good start. Also for the past couple of seasons, mostly freshmen and sophmores were starting. This year we have mostly juniors. This makes a big difference. I'm not saying we will be sec champs but I think eight or nine wins is a good possibility. Most importantly recruits will see we are on the way up. The future will be better.

1. No more Dave Wilcox rushing 2 men on 3rd and long!!!! I used to salivate when Chavis got opposing offenses in this situation. You knew somebody was coming untouched from somewhere on a blitz and there were good odds we were getting a turnover and very high probability that the opposing QB was gonna take a shot!
2. An OL coach that will teach Run-Blocking. NFL OL coaches are so conditioned to the passing game and stretch run game, they don't know how to teach bull-dozing hunker down run blocking any more. Good riddance, Heinystiedt!
3. OL depth and experience
4. Herman Lathers back healthy alongside the 2 Soph LBs

Is it football season yet?

If football was played 12 months a year I still wouldn't get tired of it.

For the first time in many years Im more than optimistic about the amounts of talent on this team.
  • Bray has an elite arm
  • Our WR corps is 2nd to none
  • Our line has tons of experience and size
  • Marlin and Neal showed flashes of brilliance, but now with a better blocking scheme they should be able to shine
  • McCullers, Sentimore, and Couch on the line in Sunsuri's 3-4
  • Our LB corps will be headhunters with Johnson, Maggit, Lathers, and Jacques in the hybrid position.
  • Waggner always seems to make big plays when we need him (ex. Vanderbilt

I think we will all be able to say "Its Great to be a Tennessee Vol" once again. GBO

It's gonna be a great season because we aren't going to take it anymore... it's easier coming back up than watching the so called "ones" falling... and we're gonna kick ass and take names later... and open up a serious can of whoop ass on all of them.........

WHIP DEY ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I SAY IT'S GREAT TO BE A
TENNESSEE VOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What games were you watching? Apparently you had no grasp of the meaning of 3rd and Chavis.
