| Cody Blanc Is A Baller It is funny to look back to see posters criticizing Derek Dooley for signing Cody Blanc. They said he was too small or too slow.
I have only seen him play in the Orange & White Game and it is quite apparent that the kid is a SEC football talent. He is not too small. I'd guess from looking at him that he is weighing around 210. He was plenty fast today as he got open routinely and broke some tackles on a couple of plays.
Will Cody always line up as a receiver? I don't know. For now he is good enough to see the field as a freshmen and see a lot of quality minutes. In the future he could grow and move to linebacker or even play safety. he is that athletic and physical. I'd venture to say that he will be a big part of our special teams play this season with his size and speed.
Dooley did a great job of evaluating this talent and others failed. |

| You said it yourself, we have only seen him play in the O&W game. We should not use that as a measuring stick in any way. That being said, I hope he turns out to be a great player for us. |

| Cody's going to do just fine. Talented, intelligent kid with good speed and hands. Can play on either side of the ball. The Cody negavols are the same clowns that said they wasted a schollie on DY. Then they will change the subject when he lights it up. Same ones that didn't want the other local kid, Bullock, to take a schollie as a kicker. When he gets his shot they will grow silent again. |

| The play in the first qtr. when Bray was retreating and threw the ball to Blanc for a first down was awesome. I also liked the reaction by Blanc. Throw the ball to the ref and go about your business. Act like yo have done it before. I also liked the way both qb's looked. Timing was pretty much on it appeared. I think we have the makings of a damn fine offensive line. Much more optimistic goin g into the summer than last year. |
