I didn't read the article, but I'm sure they're talking about the Akron game. It will be real interesting to see what Terry Bowden can do with the Zips!

It isn't. But, as stated in the article, there just aren't a lot of good OOC games this year.

With super conferences, we will see less OOC matchups that are significant. The 2012 list has some good ones though. The double CFC will be a great weekend of football (and it is in my backyard). Cannot wait!

It's an interesting game for sure. Could really set the tone for the season.

Given our last 2 seasons, why is any Tenn game interesting to anyone outside of our fanbase?

True, but there are lots of SEC people that will watch, because 1. it's an SEC game, and 2. football will FINALLY be back.

On a Friday, ESPNU, over the Boise St./ Michigan St. game?

A lot of people that you expect to be watching won't be due to the fact it's a Friday night and we are on espnu - and the fact that both programs are currently irrelevant.

Note that when I said "True," at the beginning, I meant that I was mostly in agreement, but that there will be lots of SEC fans that will watch. Lots of people have access to ESPNU and lots of people could care less about any other game if an SEC school is playing. It would be quite different if it was UT-Western Carolina, but when there's a game without a "mostly decided" outcome before it starts, people do have an interest. I didn't say it would be one of the highest TV-rated games of the year. If another SEC team was playing a similar game, I know I would watch it over Boise vs. Mich. State.
