It is absolutely ridiculous! This on top of charging the students for tickets also. And they want to pay the student athletes a stipend??????? When they do that, double your donation requirements and also get ready for $160 a seat. Talk about an empty stadium!
I will just stay home and watch it on my big screen for $35, drink beer and eat cheap hotdogs.
Edit: 62" DLP!! (7 years old btw)
Edit-2: And before anyone or the mods jump me, some of us don't have the choice to pay $100 a seat for the family to go ($400 for my family). If I was living on someone else's dime, I wouldn't talk about how much I would pay to go for a single seat. | You do have the choice to not go though. Plus, its only 70 a seat, not 100. So for a family of 4 that's 280.
If the tickets were 50 a piece would that be better? You would save 80 bucks. If 80 bucks is going to break you, you probably shouldn't be going to the game in the first place.
Two of the biggest games on the schedule, its reasonable to think your gonna pay more. It's still in line with the market. |

Two of the biggest games on the schedule, its reasonable to think your gonna pay more. It's still in line with the market. | The quote I was replying to was from someone with no evident finanacial requirements other than gas and his gf saying he would pay up to $100. I personally can afford much more than that but CHOOSE not to go to the games that are high priced. There are others on here though that $100 per ticket (if that was what they had to pay) is not a choice. It's not the price, it's the person with no finanacial obligations (ass-u-me-d) talking about how much they would pay. Just rubbed me wrong, please accept apologies if I ruffled feathers.
Edit: I will be going to the FL game with a Gator friend of mine from Atlanta. I choose to go to that game btw.

Also, when I said "you" I meant that in general. Wasn't trying to attack you or anything. I prefer watching on tv myself, but try to go to atleast 3 a year cause I love gameday atmosphere. I don't mind the prices, I've probably wasted more on something less fun.
But, I still stick by the addage that if $100 is going to bankrupt a person or take food out of a kids mouth; then there are bigger problems to worry about than a lower ticket price. |

Not while at UT.
This is like your kindergarten patting itself on the back because one of the students one day became mayor.
