| Is anyone else tired of Dooley's... ...cryptic approach with the media? I want to like the guy. I really do, but with the circus-esque fiasco of Janzen Jackson last summer, and now with DaRick Rogers, his word-play with the media and his overall antagonistic approach is getting old. He won't say DaRick Rogers is suspended, but says that "he has some things to do before he can come back, and if he doesn't do them, he won't be here". Is that not the textbook definition of a suspension? |

| i know people will disagree with you, but i agree.
i will say it's not just dooley. the reason i feel they should be more open is that typically people begin to think the worst of the player involved (in this case rogers).
i understand keeping things in house, but it's not cool having all of this wild speculation running around either. |

| Right, because all coaches are open books. If Dooley won ten games last year, you wouldn't give two flips about what he says to the media.
Context is important. |

| He told the truth, if he does some things he will be back. The constant need for information is laughable these days. Unless he is suspended, Dooley doesn't have to say a word. If he responded to every rumor then he wouldn't even have enough time to go piss, let alone coach this team. |

| With all the nonsense surrounding his tenture, it certainly would behoove him to be a little more open about things going on. He does nothing but fuel rumors and let people speculate by never addressing anything in any detail. |

| Agree w/pj. When you watch these interviews, the pure bafoonery of the media "professionals" is mind blowing. The media is simply butt hurt that CDD doesn't spoon feed them everything they want, and they can't handle it that they actually have to work for their stories now. In no way does this change my opinion of CDD. I like the guy, and will support him 100% until he's no longer employed with UT.

My complaint is the secretive nature in his approach. Just say "no comment" when asked about it. Don't say he's not suspended, but then lay out guidelines for Rogers to return to the team. If he has things he has to do to return, then he is suspended, whether Dooley wants to call it something else or not. |
