| I don't much about the situation. I thought he was a Dooley guy? Maybe he was not the coach we needed back there to win? He was a great recruiter though. Now lets go hire a great replacement. |

Unlike many who post here, I know a thing or two about college football coaches. They ain't stupid. Some will try to say this why so many left Dooley. We have to realize they didn't leave Dooley, they left Tennessee. Coaching in the SEC is otherworldly. If you are not completely confident in your own ability, you get out before your rep. is shot. If we upgrade again, this will be forgotten in a week. |
It easier to compete at Alabama and Nebraska because they have better head coaches. If those teams had Dooley then their coaches would be jumping ship.

| Not surprised by this move, of all the coaches who left this one does not bother me. I really never was impressed with his ability to coach the secondary anyway. I think we can do better and will do better. |

| CSS had a month to evaluate our D and he flatout told CTJ that his DB's stunk it up and that would NOT be acceptable anymore while he's the DC so CTJ got his little feelings hurt plus he doesn't know the 3-4 very well which is why there was going to be 2 DB coaches this season.
CDD said there was going to be LOTS more discipline from now on for both coaches and players and it's easier to set that bar higher with a new staff then to try and change coaches that got off easier in the past and might cause problems in the future and CSS deserves to hire all his D coaches so this doesn't surprise me at all.
It's really no big deal and could be another good coaching and recruiting upgrade for us in the long term.

| To bad all these coaches have left. Their going to miss the reemergence of Tennessee football. It's going to be a fun ride. Their loss. |

It's also possible that replacing Joseph was a part of the master plan anyway. No evidence there though. | NO evidence per say. It was obvious that the defensive backfield was a weakness on defense. I often wondered why Eric Gordon was not getting the playing time. Everyone I have heard say the Joseph is a much better recruiter than position coach. We will see who they get. |
