You asked for a serious answer. I gave it as I see it. I don't think I am, but I freely admit that I could be wrong. Anything is possible. I am not immune to mistakes. I am in no way attempting to attack any one individual. I am criticizing any closed mindset that is not conducive to the purpose of a message board: the exchange of ideas.

While I pretty much agree with his statement I still understand that there are plenty of trolls on here. Many people have freely admitted that they post negative or just plain idiotic statements just to get a rise out of people and cause a ruckus. That's just annoying.

I have really never posted anything for the sole purpose of stirring crap. Honestly, I'm not lying. I simply speak my mind. I admit that I do try to get others to see different points of view. I try to see those different viewpoints myself. I think that is a good thing.

This is supposed to be fun. Why not have a sense of humor? Life's serious enough without adding something that doesn't have to be added. It only gets serious for me when folks call my female family members' moral standards into question like I mentioned before. That gets me riled up enough to go bear huntin' with a switch....

I guess I just don't see a different view as an affront to my own. If I disagree, I'll tell you why I do. If you disagree, tell me why. Don't ignore me. It's all good. After all, we all want the same thing. We just have different feelings on how to get there.

I think you'll find at core that you and I come to the same place from different ends of the spectrum. I have no issue with differing opinions. Perhaps my greatest education in life has come from dialogue with those of vastly different perspective. One of my favorite activities is mutual debate and discussion.

However, I also dislike the act of polarization just for the sake of eliciting a polarized response. It's unbecoming as a character trait, and I view it as even less disrespectful to an individual and group than the responses it elicits.
