Lane 1st
Neal 2nd
Bourque 3rd

Wonder if Bourque would redshirt if that's the order?

Unless Bourque brings a "wow" factor that the others don't provide, I would think they might try to redshirt him, as they would have Lane, Neal, D.Young, Tom Smith, Quenshaun, etc.

There's 3 things I'm worried about this year. Our RB, most of our D, and special teams. Hopefully Lane can have a break out year.

Lane is hurt (hand), rajion has ball security issues, borque is (according to insidetennessee) undersized and not ready for it, smith, Watson, and hill have yet to show anything and everyone else is down on Devrin due to size...but I still think we'll have a good rushing attack this year despite the problems with all the rbs.

I like the idea of neal and lane sharing the Carries. Young and Watson in certain situations.

interesting lane is hurt again, that was his problem in high school and the reaon he got downgraded rival ranking.
i love the idea of Neal as a single back then going in motion and lining up as a WR part of the time. That's got to create a mismatch on defense.

I'm not being a smartass. The thread title is " Starting RB next season". So the guys being talked about who are freshmen now won't be "next season".

That being said "next season" I honestly believe that Neal is going be Travis Henry II and some more. I also believe that Lane isn't going to lie down and play dead. that it will be ridiculously insane to not have him on the field. We're going have a Cobb-Webb situation at running back next season.

Hill, DY, and Watson spotting either of these backs, our running corps will simply wear defenses out. Especially if we continue to have a a big OL. The era of orange will return.

I think we might see a lot of Neal. Having him in the game is like having a 4th WR lined up at RB. Should create a lot of opportunities in the passing game when he is in.

TBH, it probably could not be worse, so your prediction has a high degree of probability.
