Those noon games were tough.

Cal needed that extra day to prepare for Minnesota...

We took a crew up to Notre Dame last year for that game. I plan on taking the same crew to Cal in 2007 for the opener as well. Even if it is a noon game there, it will at least be 3pm our time. Not that any time is too early for drinking on game day. Having a Guiness with my McDonalds breakfast on the strip at 8am brings back some memories.

My guess is that it will be picked up nationally by CBS or ESPN, but playing at noon (9:00 am hippie time) in 90% humidity and 90 degree temps might not be such a bad idea. I'll bet the Berkley hackey-sack games haven't been held in those conditions very often, while our proud Southern gents are a bit more used to the Tennessee Labor Day climate.

Yeah...I don't think non conference games are shown on JP, so maybe ESPN will pick it up for another time regionally or CBS will. If it doesn't get picked up, which is unlikely, then I'm guessing PPV?

i'd like to think the TN/Cal is a bit more high profile, and that CBS would p/u the game, if nothing else, ESPN2???

Hey, as long as it's on national broadcast I'll watch it.
