| Umm Hello Why Did We Not Attempt a FG? Shouldnt the idea be at the end of the game, to make it a 2 possesion game??? Am I missing something? Why didnt we attempt what would've been a 52 yd Field Goal earlier in the game?
And for the love of God, why didnt we attempt a Field Goal there at the end of the game????? Hell, Lincolns PAT's would've been good from 45. If Daniels leg was to bad to kick, why wasnt Palardy out there attempting those kicks? I dont understand.
Merge if needed

| | Bleating Minion | I was saying to kick it at first, but going for it was really the only call Dooley could make. From that far away and as low as Lincoln kicks the ball, the threat of a block was just too much. |

| Palardy has been bad, and it seems to me Lincoln's leg is still bummed. |

| The outcome was great, but made no sense to me!

| I was wondering the same thing. Late in the game, you always try to make it a two-possession game if you can! It worked out, but I still don't understand the thinking there. |

| Thing is, going for it, kicking a field goal, both are good indicators we are playing to win. A punt would've worked. There's no wrong answer, but any one of those 3 decisions would've pissed someone off.

| It made all the sense in the world. If you miss you a FG you give them decent field position. If you punt and have a touchback you only pick up 7 yards in field position. Instead you go for it and risk those 7 yards for the ability to run out the clock.
Luckily the very best thing that could happen, did. We busted the play for a TD. |

| I really feel like in that situation there is no right or wrong answer. It ultimately comes down to what the coach feels most comfortable with. If he trusts his line to get a good push and allow the back to get the first down, then go with that. If your kicker hadn't been severely injured and just came back the game before, you probably do kick the field goal. In the end you look like smart if you get it right or a dunce if you get it wrong and it comes back to haunt you. Dooley looks smart in this case because not only do we get the yards, we get a TD. |

A first down puts the game out of reach...
It is simply a question of which player you put the burden on. Lincoln has been hurt on and off all year. Dooley chose Poole. |
