Football Happy....but

I am happy as h-e-double hockey sticks that Dallas committed to UT, but I am a firm believer that SEC football is won in the trenches. I dont care how many recievers we get, without the big uglies to block and protect our QB we cant get the ball in their hands. And without big uglies on the D-Line that can pressure their QB our defense is going to keep getting picked apart. So...can anyone please give me some good news and fill us all in on how our LINEMAN recruiting is going! Who can we actually get and will they really help?

We have what looks to be a solid line given their youth. They'll need experience to get better and recruiting o-linemen doesn't address the real problem.

I'm with you on the d-line though. It looks as though we will address those needs through juco.

Yea, the coaches just offer everyone in the world and only take the first ones to commit. So it could be all WRs or all OL, good call. It amazes me people think they know more than the coaches.

totally missing the point here. How do new recruits on o-line address our problems when what we lack is experience?

Posey, kerbyson, crowder, and probably Richardson at ol... combine that with great class we had last year and that should be least of your worries.

We already have Carson and saulsberry at dt with us in great position to land couch, Wright, and Johnson.

I don't think it's all on the new recruits. Considering the youth we have starting now, they will be very experienced in the next year or two. That experience will help the new guys as the "older" guys help them know what to expect.

no got the point but being down because we pick up a good wr instead of a big ugly is missing the mark. only way to compensate for inexperience at this point is JUCO

Gabe Wright, Mickey Johnson, Maurice Couch, Sylvester Williams, and Chavis Akins are all possibilities at DT.
