| Does anybody know what kind of defense MSU will play against us? Just curious to see how people think they will guard us. |

| Our new Sparty friend swears you'll see a man to man so they can be in position to wear us down on the glass. |

| It would be a shock if Izzo had MSU playing anything but man-to-man. |

| I think man to man would go in our favor (but i'm not a coach) because we would have a better chance at driving by their bigger guys, and have a better chance of rebounding. |

| Expect about 40 minutes of man to man. I don't recall seeing a zone all season. Izzo might have them man up on each other in the locker room during half time too.
You can expect to see some switching happening off screens. Other than that it's about effort, focus, help, and game planning to tire your bigs out. You'll get points in the paint early. The key will be how long your bigs can sustain the level of effort that will be demanded of them. |

We have 5 guys that will bang around, though I don't expect much from Pearl. We are also bigger at almost every position and deeper as well. SDSU fans went on and on about how they had never seen their team run anything but man and that changed. I'm not saying that Izzo will break out the zone, but it wouldn't be a huge surprise. |
