1. Great win against a game opponent. Now it's time to focus on Ohio.
2. There will only be 48 teams left after tonight. Tennessee is one of them.
3. Melvin Goins elevated his game at the right time. That last 3 will live forever in UT lore.
4. Brian Williams hitting clutch free throws was a minor miracle. That's what it takes in March.
5. Fouling 3 point shooters seems to be something this team can't get out of their system. It's going to eventually cost them a game.
6. Wayne Chism gets another game in a UT uniform. That's a very good thing.
7. JTIII has some soulsearching to do. When your team no shows the NCAAs, there's a systemic problem.
8. Great win for Old Dominion. Blaine Taylor deserves the exposure.
9. Seton Hall should hire Mike Rice immediately. He's ready for the Big East.
10. Any day Vanderbilt and Notre Dame are eliminated from the NCAA Tournament is a good one. Good riddance to Luke Harangoofy.

Big shots by Goins all night. Big free throws by the big men at the end. Hopson and Chism need to contribute more down the road.

Hat, I've appreciated these reports all year. Something I look forward to after the games. Can you give us your thoughts on UT/Ohio?

Heavily agree on #10. I'm just glad we won, even if we really just benefited from SDSU having a bad game.

But there a couple of 6 seeds, a 3, and a couple of others that would trade with us in a heartbeat right now.

Anybody know a good cardiologist in Knoxville?

glad my bracket has us to the elite 8..... just had a feeling. hope ohio shoots like they did all season and not tonight.

Everyday Big East refs aren't as tolerant as the tournament crews. He would have been double T'd and tossed with those antics he was pulling today.

That said, his team beat a woeful Villanova squad in every aspect but ran out of gas. Look for St. Mary's over Nova on Saturday.

It's a game UT should win. We're simply better. I would expect Chism and Prince to have huge games.

St Marys is a good squad and shouldnt have been ranked 10th.... they should beat an overrated Nova team
