How does Vandy get a four seed after getting beat by Miss State, while Tennessee who beat both Kansas and Kentucky and finished higher in the polls is seeded number 6? For the moment, Murray St. is kicking Vandy's butt.

Because we also lost to Vandy (twice), Kentucky (twice, once by 30), USC (L.A.), Gerogia

Save this talk for tomorrow. Vandy could still win by 15 and UT could come out flat and get blown away.

So the polls who had Tennessee 13 after beating two number one teams, with Vandy at 19... were wrong?

So they swept a team with very impressive wins...

Which is much less impressive than beating those teams... Obviously, that part of the resume was not a factor in seeding these two teams.

Look, they swept us and have a better record against top 50 rpi teams. That was why they were better seeded. You don't have to agree with the reasoning, but you can't ignore it's existence either.

There are reasons, but they should be a 5 if we are a 6 at the very least. Tennessee and Vandy were not seeded in some vacuum where they were the only two teams to exist. As I said before though, I'm glad we didn't draw the Racers. They can play. Vandy just got Siena-ed. Again.

What does seeding matter at this point?????? Go play ball, if we want to win it, we gotta beat the best teams out there. Seeding may favor you for one round, after that, it's out the window, you gotta win 6 games period!!!!!!!!

Say that to the 8-9 seeds who have to face #1 in the 2nd round.

Also Duke made it to the final 4 in 2004 without beating a team higher than a 5. In that case seeding helped them a lot.

Obviously the seeding didn't help Vandy all that much. Murray State really? :eek:lol:
