Check this out.

Nova – 153
Baylor – 120
Purdue – 260
A&M – 112
ND – 256
Richmond – 12
California – 71
L’ville – 177
St. Mary’s – 5

Those are the national rankings in three point defense for the top 10 seeds in Duke's bracket. And, St. Mary's and Richmond are both in the bottom half (would only face Duke if they got to the Great 8) and play each other in the first game.

Duke, of course, lives and dies on three point shooting. Teams like UT, Temple, Wake, Xavier, Butler, Marquette, Pitt, and Florida -- the Dance's top three point defense teams -- are safely tucked away in other brackets.

Does Duke have the Committee bought?

So, the committee factors in not only Tennessee's seeding from a few years ago, but also 3-point defense for Dukes opponents?

LOL

You people are far too conspiratorial-minded.

Sure they make some dumb picks, but to think they have time to analyze every conceivable match-up angle over the course of a couple days is ridiculous.

That's in-part what they (are supposed to) do.

Accidentally or intentionally, they gave Duke one of the easiest roads to the Final Four in NCAA tournament history. You can consider them a complete and utter failure on the whole season if they don't make it to Indianapolis.

Since when does the play in game go to the 3rd best #1 seed? Should they not be playing Kansas and not Duke?

Also I find it odd every SEC school is on one side of the bracket except for Kentucky

to Bob Knight's point. They are unqualified. Doesn't help that it's not loaded with basketball people.

This committee is a total farce. there is literally no rhyme or reason to their selections - as far as actual basketball goes. justification for some teams are completely opposite for others.

So the guy comes up with some interesting stuff about sports on a sports chat site and your response is "man get a life"?

How about you find another forum, I think the Lady Vols would suit you perfect.

Thanks for the work Wise-Vol
