I'm sure I'm showing my ignorance here but I never knew we almost had Dejuan Blair. They were just talking about him at the rookie-sophomore game on TNT. They said he was unsure where to go: Pitt or Tennessee. His grandmother decided Pitt so she could see him play. Too bad for us....

Actually, wasn't that the year that we had Hickson committed and quit recruiting Blair? Hickson had committed until Garnett got in his ear about NC State's coach and got him to switch at the last minute. By that time, it was too late to land Blair.
