This Week's Trap...

Thanks, hat.

Can you imagine a worse scenario than, say a 7 seed UT team drawing a 10 seed Louisville barely limping into the tourney? The big East is a bear, and one of the results of that may be getting teams into the dance seeded far, far below their talent levels. That may mean some unbelievable draws for middle seeds that don't find a way to avoid them in the first rounds.

Just read the blog, good stuff---and good writing. As far as Nolan is concerned, he told Ark they could have the job, and they took him up on the proposal. Big time racist. He was willing to accept the praise when the R'backs were winning, but unwilling to accept the criticism when they fell off. His showing his butt--coupled with the lawsuit against the university-- cost him any future consideration in the coaching ranks. Just an angry old dude, now.

Adding 31 teams to the tourney would be a travesty. Nothing like watering down a good drink...can you imagine trying to fill out that bracket? Moronic.

The Cincinnati-Vanderbilt game in Maui comes to mind.

I’m sure the fact that nobody in college basketball has been smart or courageous enough to hire him has fueled that animus. It’s sad to see one of the true coaching icons of the last quarter century reduced to raging against a system that won’t give him another shot. It’s college basketball’s loss.

Couldn't agree more.
