Just driving back and forth to work yesterday and today, I noticed ESPN radio didn't mention the basketball arrests but when Kiffin's players were arrested they were blasting all over the airwaves!!

They were killing the players for it yesterday, but praising Bruce for suspending them right away

ESPN will love CLK again next year. They love the boost he brings to ratings (remember the guest picker spot at the SECCG?).

They play on both sides of the street. Just wait until the ball starts rolling our way and he will become a media darling.

I think the media love for Pearl will be ending soon. Pearl's boy Jim Rome will absolutely destroy him.

On what grounds. Bruce has handled this the correct way so far.

This is certainly not Bruce Pearls fault by any means, he has handled the mess in a proper fashion thus far, I still believe in Bruce and probably always will!!

ESPN usually tries to dig up dirt on UT. I'm getting tired of it.

You reap what you sow. Bring in players with some character issues, then you have to deal with the consequences once those character issues come to light...and in this case, the entire public eye

Pearl likes to recruit kids from the 'hood. Sometimes, it doesn't work out---no big deal. That's where the talent is.

"I've got a tough job. I've got to put these guys from different worlds together, right?" Pearl said. "I've got guys from Chicago, Detroit ... I'm talking about the 'hood! And I've got guys from Grainger County, where they wear the hood.''

Bruce Pearl, coach of Tennessee Volunteers, apologizes for joke he made at fundraiser - ESPN

We aren't exactly in on a large number of top recruits, so we take what we can get among them. Unfortunately, you can't babysit them 24/7 thanks to stupid NCAA rules... so the best you can do is hope they don't pull some stupid **** when left to their own devices for the better part of 4-5 years.

That's kinda what I'm saying, i'm not bashing anyone but the players themselves.
