| Barring a new coach coming in and asking guys to leave, signing a LOI in November assures a player that his spot won't be taken in the Spring. But, yeah, I suppose the top-level prospects may not have to worry about that anyway. |

All it does is bind the player to the school. It places no obligation to admit the player or provide him a scholarship on the school. |

| That's pretty one-sided contractually, but, provided that the kid qualifies for admission, I doubt the coach who got the LOI would pull the scholly to bring in a better player.
I'm not arguing that the situation is perfect. I'm just pointing out a benefit to the student. |

| He didn't pull it during the recruiting period, but Daniel West comes to mind.

| If we do not land Harris or Pinkston we are screwed. I like our chances though. |

| Is there any truth to Pinkston and Harris talking to each other about playing together?

I suppose if the elite player were only concerned about improving their draft status this wouldn't matter, but I have to believe there are some out there who would like to win championships while they do it. |

| I get the feeling that Harris lands in knoxville. He doesn't really fit into UK's offense and Syracuse has about 10 forwards on their roster. WVU would be the biggest competition but I'm not so sure how many touches he would see with Kevin Jones and Ebanks possibly still on the roster. We have completely no one on our roster that would hold him off from starting next season.

| Harris would be the immediate starter at PF, with Hall at C

| Yep. He would have started at PF 3 years ago at UT.

Do you know if WVU is going after Ashton Pankney(sp?)?
