I have to say that Dale Ellis is my favorite UT basketball player of all time. That is a difficult result to arrive at because I also love Chris Lofton, Tony White, and Alan Houston.

I think it has something to do with Dale being on the first UT team I can ever remember watching on tv. He was the man at UT especially against KY and then went on to do extraordinary things in the NBA.

It seems like I even saved my money up and bought a Seattle Supersonics #3 Dale Ellis jersey back in the day. I am pretty sure I had his NBA poster as well.

Gotta Love Sweet D.

It was nice to see a lot of those guys back for the Vandy game last year. I had a chance to hang out with them for a little bit in the makeshift bar at the Marriott that weekend, and every ex-player I saw seemed to enjoy the respect and notoriety the university was showing them.

Ellis was always one of my favorites, and I was glad to see UT reach out to him.
