Dang, guess he has his mind made up where he thinks Pinkston should go. I dont get why he thinks the way he does though. Sure hope Pinkston is not listening to him...

For clarification, Kimani Young is the director of Pinkston's AAU program, not Bishop Laughlin High School.

I took a stab in the dark and checked Kimani Youngs background. He went to college at UTEP, played under Don Haskins. I was looking for a Villanova/Jay Wright tie, but did not see any. Hat, do you know of any such relationship?

The guy is from New York, and it was stated that he was heavily into the recruiting game at one time. Villanova is a great scool. Sucks for UT though. Depends on how much stock the young man puts in Young.

Why do I get the sneaky suspicion if we jettisoned Shay or Forbes and hired Kimani Young that his opinion of the "perfect situation" for Pinkston would change?

Not really. The only guys left with real ties to the Bear would be Floyd, Gillispie, and Tony Barbee. Coach Haskins never came to the East Coast to play very often, so there's no natural connection. Wright is a Massimino protege.

I should probably include Mike Anderson on the list of guys with ties to Coach Haskins.

Maybe he will go somewhere else so it won't be as if Kimani made the decision for him. Maybe.....

Wow subject title is WRONG

And here are the questions I want answered...

Why are we worried about Pinkston now? He is not committing until late spring as has been repeated over and over including in this most recent talk with Young.

SNY.tv: News: Pinkston at work on and off court in Vegas

Is Kimani Young a former felon as the comment on Zagsblog says? What off court incidents has Pinkston been involved in?

YouTube - Vincent Smith " MY MENTOR "

Player Bio: Kimani Young - ST. JOHN'S OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

And this does not seem related because the age may be off, but this is all I had for Kimani Young, felony

PunchtheBag Some guy with that name in Port St. Lucie stealing bottles of champagne...hahahaha.

If Bruce can have a solid year and make it to the elite 8 he should be able to recruit quite nicely this year i wouldnt be worried we should see how the season plays out first.

There won't be many guys left to get by the Spring, but we've had decent players fall into Bruce's lap late in the process before.

So, your of the opinion UT should just back off and not have any contact, then call him in the spring for tea and crackers?

When the man who is currently affiliated with Pinkstons AAU team, and has a great relationship with the kid from the beginning verbally endorses Villanova over UT, thats maybe something to worry about. Its a discussion board, so why not talk about it.

And I'm not sure why the thread title is wrong.
