| We have no business cracking the top 35 until we at least get past the Sweet 16 for the first time in our history.

Devoe and Mears and even Jerry Green mean Pearl is not the first coach to win big at this school.
UConn is like Florida football but with even less NCs. You do not become an all time great program with 1 great coach. Last 20 years yes UConn is far and away above UT, but before that? |

| UConn was a regular participant in the NCAA tournament well before the last twenty years. I understand what this list is about, and it is still a joke. |

|
I can see an argument for the top 5, in whatever order you choose. Other than that, the Sagarin ratings are as worthless as they are in football. Duke is behind Illinois? Louisville is behind Iowa? Did the guy who thinks Kirk Ferentz is the second best coach in the nation come up with this formula?
.....and Memphis is behind Tennessee. |

.....and Memphis is behind Tennessee. | In fairness, I have a hard time placing any team with multiple final four appearances in the modern era above teams with none.

| I have not seen much on here about Stephen Pearl. Other than going to the Maccabiah games I have not seen anything from Bruce indicating that he treats his son in a way that anyone could criticize.
Allan Houston was the best player Wade had by far, but he also lost game after game because the supporting cast sucked and was poorly coached.
Tubby Smith had to negotiate alot of hate having his kids play for him at UGA and UK. |
