And you said Lofton would never get open? I don't remember him needing to be open to shoot anyways. Anyone remember him hitting a 3 over Durant? The best part of his game is shooting with a defender in his face.

I'm not saying he is an NBA star but he is a good enough shooter to play in the league. You are telling me that Daniel Gibson for the Cavs is that much better than Lofton? Watch the people coming off the bench.....they aren't exactly dominant.

So why isn't he on a team? You think one of the NBA GMs would see all this talent that you see. People, he's just not good enough.

Yes, Lofton has NBA talent, and Stephens is better than Crompton. Volnation says so.

I'm not saying he is anything more than a role player. However, there are numerous stories of GM's missing on talent. Goodness, our lone NBA player, Watson, who is turning out to be a good pro was completely missed for years. Before Lofton's senior year he was projected to go in the first round of the draft (a poor year that was hampered by his illness didn't help his status the following year). I guess all the experts were wrong then.

All I'm saying is that Lofton is a good enough shooter to get in the game.

Evidently he isn't. There isn't really an argument about whether Lofton should or shouldn't be in the NBA. He isn't. The reasons why have been spelled out pretty well.

He's an undersized, underquicked 2-guard without a particularly good handle. He can flat put it in the basket if and when he can find a shot. That hasn't equalled enough for him to break through, and he is going to have a tough time ever getting some GM to give up a roster spot at the end of the bench better used on a project, a defensive specialist, or a big banger that can occasionally eat fouls and minutes.
