| It's faulty to argue on one hand that the NBA and NCAAs are two very different games, and on the other suggest that we measure the value of a coach's recruits by how many recruits are on NBA rosters. |

| At this point, I find entertainment in how the OP manages to place a negative spin on every snippet of UT-related basketball news. |

I believe the OP needs to get a Girlfriend.

| Let's let it play out on the floor.
I have concerns over how much farther Bruce Pearl can get this program too. Discipline, PG recruitment, Half Court play. And, I give him a large part of the blame for that 54-point game that we're still hearing about. But, he's accomplished more than enough here to earn our patience, IMO.
I support Bruce as the UT Coach am looking forward to the coming season. |

However, he is the Tennessee Basketball Coach. Bashing, complaining, and criticizing at every possible opportunity serves no purpose.
He's got my support and I look forward to the upcoming season. Quote: |

| Never said he has no life. I was merely suggesting that he appears to have a lot of pent-up frustration. A Girlfriend, Fiancee or wife would help him out with it!

Hat, is this the guy that they think can replace some of what they were looking for in Rasheed? Not saying he's the same caliber player, but would have have been signed had they landed Wallace? |

I consider myself a big fan, not as big as others, and I knew immediately. I still wonder how much it would have affected UT basketball had he stayed one more year. I gotta believe that we make the NCAA's had he stayed. |

Rasheed would have been a starter. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| I feel like punching myself in the face after reading some of this garbage.
Buzz Peterson and Jerry Green have been more successful than Bruce Pearl? What world are some of you people living in? Jerry Green
Oregon 72-70(.507) NCAA 1st Round, NIT
Tennessee 89-36(.712) Sweet 16, NCAA 2nd Rd, NCAA 1st Rd(x2) Total 161-106(.603) Sweet 16, NCAA 2nd Rd, NCAA 1st Rd(x3), NIT Buzz Peterson
Tulsa 26-11(.703) NIT Champion
Tennessee 61-59(.508) NIT 1st Round(x2) Total 87-70(.554) NIT Champion, NIT 1st Round(x2) Bruce Pearl
UWMilwaukee 86-38(.694) Sweet 16, NCAA 1st Rd, NIT 1st Rd
Tennessee 98-37(.726) Sweet 16(x2), NCAA 2nd Rd, NCAA 1st Rd Total 184-75(.710) Sweet 16(x3), NCAA 2nd Rd, NCAA 1st Rd(x2), NIT 1st Rd
Bruce Pearl has a better winning percentage overall. A better winning percentage at Tennessee. A better SEC winning percentage. Has been to more Sweet 16's overall. Has been to more Sweet 16's with Tennessee.
Who cares if he did it with Buzz Peterson's players? Buzz Peterson couldn't do it with his own players. Pearl also won with someone else's players at UWMilwaukee... are you implying those players were more talented than the players he has recruited at Tennessee himself? The coach he succeeded at UWMilwaukee stunk. All of their coaches were bad. UWMilwaukee had never made the NCAA tournament let alone the NIT until Pearl arrived.
The other basis for some of the arguments I'm seeing is that those coaches produced more NBA players. Are you kidding me? Who cares. I don't think producing NBA players is Bruce Pearl's first priority. He is trying to win at the college level. His first recruiting class is now seniors. Two of which were kicked off the team. Not only has his first class not even graduated but starters under Pearl get fewer minutes than starters on most teams because he generally uses a 10 man rotation. Bruce Pearl haters need to give it a rest already. He doesn't produce NBA players.... ok? What does that say about Urban Meyer and Tom Osborn then? That they are crappy coaches? They've fielded teams full of draft picks and yet two of the best players in their schools history didn't and won't end up at their natural position in the NFL. Eric Crouch was like a 7th round pick moved to kick returner and Tim Tebow will be like a third round tight end.
Question.... if you had to choose between erasing Peyton Manning or Tee Martin from the history books at UT, who do you choose? I erase Peyton Manning. He went on to win MVPs and Super Bowls at the next level but never won a championship at UT and even lost to Memphis. I'll take the guy who essentially had no pro career but helped lead our a team to a national championship victory. If you care more about UT players going on to be pros than winning at UT then I don't even know what to say to that. Tennessee was 14-17 I believe when Pearl got here and Buzz hadn't won more than 17 games in his four seasons with the Vols. Bruce Pearl has won more than 20 games all four seasons with his worst season being this past year. Suddenly it's not good enough for a fan base that was witness to four straight years of trash under Buzz Peterson. Seriously?
Throwing Bruce Pearl under the bus seems pretty ungrateful to me. Let's run him out of town and go back to missing the NCAA tournament. I have a feeling if Bruce Pearl left, this team would go back to sucking and a lot of the fans who were giving Pearl such a hard time will be the ones crying the most.
