You have to get a new phone, in this case, through Vodaphone. Or, even better, is you could purchase a Global Blackberry (Storm) and get the global package which includes voice/data usage. The beauty of it is that you don't have to stay on the global plan for a certain amount of time. You could just get the global plan for the time period you would be overseas, and chance back when you get back to the states. This isn't considered using Vodaphone as your international carrier, but you may be roaming off of their network.

This is great! I have a blackberry curve now, but would switch to the storm or similar updated unit and only for the time I travel overseas with the international package. Got it, thanks.
