They say the freshman to sophomore leap is where players show the most improvement, so I'm hoping Hopson improves and maybe refines his 3 point shot. I'm also hoping Chism becomes the stud I see flashes of in him.
EDIT: And last year was a joke the way defenses just dog piled the paint. If we could just get one, maybe two legitimate 3 point threats, Tyler and Wayne should look way better.

| So how many more games does Tennessee win with Tyler than if he didn't come back? |

He has no excuses to fall back on if he doesn't have this team ready to play. If we don't show significant improvement then I'll begin to question Pearl. |

If we can open the lane back up, we'll see Tyler, JP, and Chism look much better than last year. If I had to take a guess, I'd say Tyler improves us by +4 wins |

| Should be a lock for preseason top 10. I know there are alot of negative Pearls out there, but UT basketball program has never been better than it is now. |

A second rounder came back and shoot up to top 10? We're definitely better, but we still have no PG and inconsistent post play. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| He's 22, not like they are looking for potential or anything. Also, he's not a solid NBA prospect anyways. Maybe if he was great defensively, but he's not. He's a 6'6 forward without range who has just about reached his peak. He's great for college ball if he gets freed up a bit since his height disadvantage doesn't hurt him much down low in the college game.
And the addition of Tyler wont help our preseason rank much. We will stay in the 15 range because it's a safe pick. Chances are we will stay there or slip to 25 during the season at most since there's a slim possibility of us being worse than last year. The chances of us being any better though are slim since it is doubtful we become a threat from three point range. But if we do, we are top 10. And I say that regardless of PG play. I found Maze to be a good distributor with no range, but obviously some people on this board disagree. I didn't think it was his fault for the passing around the arc until the shot clock ran out and then somebody chuck up a random three. I think that was Pearl's just being bad at setting up a half-court offense.
