Basketball Schedule finalized

The dates aren't out, but all of the games are here.

Rivals.com College Basketball - Building a schedule: Siena still looking

"Tennessee's schedule features a mix of low- and mid-major in-state opponents that figure to have solid RPIs (Austin Peay, East Tennessee State and Middle Tennessee and big-name opponents (Kansas, Memphis and USC). The Volunteers completed their schedule by adding home games with College of Charleston, North Carolina-Asheville, Wyoming, North Carolina A&T and Charlotte."

So, that makes 8 games in TBA, games at Memphis and USC, a "neutral" game with MTSU at Sommet, and the tournament in the Virgin Islands. Not quite as many marquee games as last season, but still a competitive schedule.

There's a very good chance that Kansas and Purdue will be the only top 35 teams Tennessee plays in the nonconference portion of the schedule.

Heath Schroyer and Bobby Lutz both on the schedule? I realize Pearl doesn't have many friends in the profession, but that's scraping the absolute bottom of the barrel.

Playing KY twice will more than make up for having fewer ranked OOC opponents than last season.

What are you saying - that Schroyer and Lutz are not well liked?

Maybe one or two more moderate to difficult OOC opponents would've been nice, but I won't complain about this schedule.

Heath Schroyer will have to hire pallbearers.

I'm saying if those three want to play golf together at an NABC event, they better hope the course they want to play doesn't require four players in a group.

Let's try an experiment: Try going ONE whole day without placing a negative spin on anything Tennessee.
I realize that it'd be easier to ask a steaming pile of Cow-Dung to not stink, but give it a try. Being positive for a change ain't half bad.

I think the schedule looks good. Not quite as Marquee as last few years, but still several notables. As always, there could be a surprise team that many are not counting on. Not sure who it'd be on this schedule though. Can't wait!

My head is already starting to hurt in anticipation of all the local yokels blathering about how we should have recruited Tony White, Jr. after he comes to TBA and scores 25.

We can't even get through a preview of the schedule without a Pearl jab.

Decent schedule. I think Bruce realized easing up on the non-conference while still keeping it respectable is the best way to go about things. Go too easy and you end up like UF last 2 years. Go too hard and we end up on the bubble again this year.

But of course Pearl has always known how to schedule. Definitely one thing he does know.

Gee, I thought the best way to go was to actually put a good team on the floor so that you don't have to worry about being on the bubble because you can't beat decent out of league foes.
