It's not UT's fault if Memphis is not a Top 40 team.
I thought you liked the addition of USC when it was first announced.
The Paradise Jam isn't that impressive. I'd prefer to be in a loaded field like last year's Old Spice Classic every year, but I guess it's hard to always get the prime invitations.

A couple more Top 30 opponents would have made it better, but implying that this schedule merely allows UT to avoid ridicule is a stretch.

I guess I'm still getting used to the national attention (probably) being taken away from this game.

USC figured to be very good when this was initially announced. Now, they'll be fortunate if they are mediocre in '09-'10.

This schedule did look better while some of the games were being added than the final product turned out to be.

It went from having three, possibly four, games against Top 10 teams to only having once such game guaranteed real quick.

The nonconference schedule just got even worse. Tim Floyd's resignation, and the attendant fallout, will make SC lucky if they field a Top 100 team.

Any idea where they may look to for a replacement? I doubt they could get anyone of Floyd's caliber.

Given that the new coach will:
A. Inherit a gutted roster, and
B. Have to deal with the uncertainty stemming from the 'AA investigation. and
C. Have to work for Steve Sample and Mike Garrett,
I think they'll have a tough time getting even a decent coach.

I though the allegations were erroneous?

That doesn't make the 'AA move any faster.

From what was said in the other thread, they don't really deserve a decent coach if they are willing to eject the good one they had just to appease the NCAA with a blood sacrifice.

Why are we so confident that the allegations against USC/Floyd have no merit?

Only a few posters on here feel "confident" that these allegations have no merit. Since Floyd is one of their "beloved" coaches, they insist he is incapable of doing ANYTHING that violates the NCAA, when in reality, Floyd is in the same boat as Calipari and Sampson. (Cal's time is approaching.)
