| Another Sweet Sixteen? I haven't been reading as much around here (my own fault), so if it's been covered just merge or ignore what it is that I have to say.
I still don't see this team being able to get past the sweet sixteen, despite the depth and talent level to do so. Our inability to string together three solid games and three victories in a row will take us out. It started from the beginning (Siena-win, G-Town-win,Gonzaga-loss), again throughout the year (SC-win, Vandy-win, Memphis-loss) (Fla-win, Ark-win, Aub-loss) (Georgia-win, Vandy-win, Ole Miss-loss), and it happened again in the SEC tourney (Bama-win, Aub-win, Miss St.-loss).
The only time we put together three solid games and victories was against Mississippi State, Florida, and South Carolina. But we then went on to lose to Bama. Despite the depth we have, I don't see getting past the Sweet Sixteen (IF we get there) very likely, despite this arguably being Pearl's deepest team. |

| Good analysis. I think we have a shot to get to the Sweet 16 if the matchups fall our way... we'll probably make a second round exit, though. |

| It all depends on who we're matched against. Alot of experts have our 2nd round game in their bracketologies as UT playing either Wake Forest or Mizzou....if we can get a better matchup than that then perhaps |

I agree with the second round exit. But, obviously, the matchups are not favorable now that they have been revealed. It could be quite embarrassing for this team to play Pitt. I think we will beat OK State out of spite though. They aren't exactly world beaters. |

| I could see us getting by OK St., then Pitt showing Pearl just how far the program is behind.

| even if we came up with an historically amazing victory over Pitt, FSU would thump us next. |

| Depends on what team shows up.
The team that beat Bama on Thursday can beat both Oklahoma State and Pitt.
The team that lost to Miss. St. on Sunday couldn't beat Farragut. |

| The Ok. State is a 50-50 game, as one would expect with 8 vs. 9. The Vols will have to play well to win it--take good shots and make shots. If the Vols shoot poorly, or are sloppy with the basketball, or clang a lot of free throws, they'll lose. And that's the problem with this team: it has a tendency to be sloppy. Pearl's teams tend to be sloppy--it's what you get with uptempo teams. |

| If we do make it to Pitt, they're going to beat the brakes off of us.
