| Its All About the 3's! If you look at TN's team stats from last year vs this year, the only glaring difference is 3 point %. Going into the FL game we were a 30% team, last year almost 38%. Tonight the 3's fell and what happened, an easy win against a hated foe! Ky had a career 3 point night and what happened? Not discounting D and FT shooting, but basketball in this day and age (for better or worse) is about who gets hot from behind the stripe.
Since this is Volnation, you may now savage me without mercy!

| Clearly it made the difference tonight. However, Florida gave us a ridiculous amount of completely WIDE-OPEN looks (kind of like we did for Jodie Meeks), and I don't expect teams in the future to offer us the same courtesy.

I though only Rod Wilks could do that.

I though only Rod Wilks could do that. | Wilks and good shooting teams playing UF. If they lean on Meeks like they should, Patterson might score 40 on them. They have no presence whatsoever in the paint. |

| Even though we did shoot the threes well tonight I would like to see more penetration and more entry passes to Chism, Smith, Negedu, and Williams instead of hoisting up the first open three. |

Whatever the case, something was different tonight. | Hope we can keep it up. |

Whatever the case, something was different tonight. | I agree that we have better shooters than our results suggest. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

Oh, and good to see you guys tonight. Calhoun's was actually an easier walk to the game that the Strip -- we should do that more often!

Whatever the case, something was different tonight. | I wouldn't totally discount the incredibly soft zone that Florida was playing. I don't know if we shot a single contested 3-pointer.

| Tyler's shot did look a lot better tonight. He was getting more air on it with some more backspin. Of course not quite Scotty Hopson air, which a friend always says "it's like he's trying to lob a grenade over the castle wall..." |
