| Yep, it sucks. As I've said earlier, I am hoping this team improves greatly and peaks around tourney time. But, as others have said, sometimes what you see is what you get - this team may not be getting much better. |

I was at the game last night and Chism in my opinion was a big factor in losing the game! His three point attempts killed us and the momentum. He takes those stupid shots at the worst time in the game. Did he even hit one three last night? NO!!! He scored a few points but nothing major. He should have waaaaay better numbers than he did last night every game! He's lazy, he's lazy and he's lazy.
I also think he was a big part of the loss to Kansas. We came within 5 points I think late in the game and Chism threw up a stupid three point shot; missed and the momentum left us and went back to Kansas for the win. What a douche! I'll never hop on the Chism bandwagon.
I really wish Bruce Pearl would keep his big men down low and let his shooters shoot the three. |

| I thought there was some great improvement last night, beginning about the 9 minute mark of the second half. The intensity and defensive pressure seemed to pick up, and Tennessee looked like a scrappy team rather than a finesse team. I thought a lot of that had to do with Maze, Smith, Chism, and Prince being on the floor at the same time, a situation that has occurred too infrequently because of injury, matchups, and finding a rotation. Tennessee also appeared to run out of gas in overtime.
That was an overtime loss to a good team, regardless of their record in the last 5 games. I'm not happy with the loss, especially considering the blown 15 point lead, but there were some good things to be taken from the game, IMO. |

p.s. playing pathetic D where you lose your man and he gets a layup is not good either

I really wish Bruce Pearl would keep his big men down low and let his shooters shoot the three. | You just notice Chism's 3's more often because he's our center shooting 3's. Trust me - we didn't lose to Kansas because of him. There were a lot of other retarded 3-point shots taken in that game other than the Chism one that could have kept us from being down 20 to begin with (also our D was the main factor - just sayin)... Chism had a decent look but it was just early in the shot clock.
Other than Tatum - I think we were about 1/18 from 3 last night... and Chism didn't come close to shooting 18 of those. He's not the only guy.. like I said you just notice him more since he's our big guy... but he shoots threes as well as most of our guards. Chism had a good game last night. He was a beast on the boards but could have shot better.
His threes aren't the problem (atleast not a major one) - his problem is making 2-4 foot shots and consistently making the jump hook and staying out of foul trouble while playing good defense. |
