Anthony Crater interested in UT

Don't know if you guys have heard, but Anthony Crater from Ohio State is looking for a school as he is being granted a release from his scholarship. The reasons he is citing are playing time and WANTS AN UP TEMPO SYSTEM. Apparently when he was being recruited Matta told him he would start if Mike Conley wasn't still there and he has been the back-up so far this year. I've been hearing from a lot of OSU fans that this guy should be their starting PG over Jeremie Simmons.

His AAU coach said that UT is one of the schools he is looking at!!!

This would be a good pick-up.

And to be honest we really don't know what D West is gonna bring when he makes it back to the team.

His chances of suiting up for UT is apparently very, very slim.

So now West may not end up playing for us at all? Even after this season? I hadn't heard that. If that's the case we could defintetly use Crater, who has college game experience and would seemingly fit in our system.

I'm guessing he would become eligible at the conclusion of the Fall Semester next year.

We have Craft and Selby for '10. Do we really need another PG?
