Temple is a patsie. It was an embarrassing loss.

Do you still believe this?

If so, then we'd finish no worse than second in the Big 10. In fact, I highly doubt there's a team in the Big 10 who's 15 pts better than Illinois right now.

Yes. Purdue is viciously overrated.

So we're at least 15 points better than Purdue too? I can't wait to see what we do to Kansas in a couple of days.

And in that case, Davidson (Purdue thumped 'em) and Oklahoma (lost a close game in overtime) and perhaps the entire Big 10 conference are viciously overrated as well.

The Big 10 is wretched. With the exception of a healthy Michigan State, there's not a team within screaming distance of the top 15.

Davidson is wildly overrated. Oklahoma lost to Arkansas.

who's underrated right now? Who should (or soon will) be in the top 15 but isn't?

I haven't looked at the polls the last couple of days, but St. Mary's and Villanova have both been undervalued so far.

Given the recent performance of Tennessee and that of many other schools listed here, I thought we might want to reconsider the discussion of how UT would fare in other conferences. I erred in including Ga Tech, Maryland and Baylor originally, and now I would include FSU and Miami.

Judging by what they've done the first 20+ games of the season, UT certainly would finish worse than 4th in the Big 12, ACC and Big 10.

And if their recent performance isn't the worst they can do, then they'd finish even lower.

Also, a ? for Dickens - how laughable is the notion that Clemson would finish higher than UT?

Tennessee would still beat Northwestern and Minnesota. They also should have no fear of Ohio State.

Have you seen Michigan lately? They're in the process of playing themselves into the NIT.

I think they'd be about 4th in the Big 12 and Big 10, but would be 5th, at best, in the ACC.

With Robbie Hummel hurt at Purdue, I'd give Tennessee an even shot against anyone except Michigan State.
