3. Josh Tabb made the three biggest plays in the game. Tennessee doesn't win without him.
4. Bruce should be very thankful that Dotson didn't go to Vanderbilt. He would fit their system perfectly.
5. Kudos to the crowd for a nice applause when Coach Byrd's dad, legendary Knoxville Journal columnist Ben Byrd, was shown on the video board.
6. Georgia is the worst 7-3 team in the history of college basketball. If they win 5 SEC games, the league should be stripped of its automatic NCAA bid.
7. The "Arizona is going to be OK" talk can stop now. UNLV smacked them back to reality.
8. Huge win for Minnesota. Now, they have a nonconference win that will resonate with the Selection Committee.
9. Tom Izzo never stays down for long. The Spartans going into Austin and winning today bodes poorly for the rest of the Big Ten.
10. VCU-Oklahoma tonight should be worth watching. Jeff Capel going up against the guys he recruited.
Hat, I was busy doing family stuff and couldn't watch. I know the family of the Dansby kid from Belmont, the family is pretty athletic he has a cousin that plays somewhere in Texas. Question is what did you think about him he wears #2?

Memphis airballed plenty of free throws last season. I believe Dorsey lead the team with 3. That didn't stop their trip to San Antonio.

Don't read too much into a single shot.

Apparently that's the coaches' POV.

Kinda like how they took UNC to the wire in the ACC championship game "down the stretch" last season.

What's your point? Maryland beat UNC last season. It isn't indicative of a season. Clemson has a track record of starting hot with a ridiculously easy schedule then faltering in conference play. Oliver Purnell is an average coach.

Hmmmm. Seems there's another orange-clad team who has faltered down the stretch the past few seasons.

Uh? How is winning 31 games, and 24 games and reaching the sweet 16 two seasons in a row faltering? Winning the SEC, and SEC east...

Meanwhile we have a Clemson team who started the season 17-0 two seasons ago and missed the NCAA tourney. And went 1-1 last year.

You went to the well twice - two too many times. And I noticed.

All evidence (including the analysis of NCAA coaches) right now indicates that if UT were in the ACC, they would get a fight from Clemson.

Bring evidence to the contrary, or take your medicine and get well soon.

UT has two wins better than Clemson to this point. Three of our opponents have been against teams than Clemson has played so far.

If you don't think we faltered down the stretch the last three seasons, then your orange-colored glasses are a much stronger tint than mine (and I do own some).

With our talent level we overperformed actually. The fact that we overperformed during the season is the only thing that made us look as if we faltered in the tournament. But I'm sure you think most teams with 6'2 SG's and no PG play should win 31 games.
