How many have come out of Philly? Maybe I'm assuming, incorrectly, that any of "you" care about national championships. | You're the one babbling about all the teams you get to see by living in the Research Tampon. How many combined National Titles has the Big East and teams Temple regularly schedules won in the last 25 years? I gurantee it's more than the 5 you get out of Carolina and Duke. For me, it isn't and I don't really care that you disagree. I don't like attending big, overhyped basketball games. I prefer those on TV. I much more enjoy off the beaten path collegiate basketball if I'm going to do it live. It's one of the reasons I enjoy where I live today. I can do basketball easily (except after back to back wins over TX and OU).
I'm telling you why I would prefer Philly. |

ESPN blacks out UNC-Duke for everybody who gets the game on Raycom. I know that's true for at least one UNC-Duke game per year, maybe both. |

I was only attacking the notion that the UT-Memphis game was truly ESPN's most-watched game. But, I still claim it is anyway, because most people don't know about the UNC-Duke blackout. |

| In 2004 I went to visit a friend at St. Joe's. In a four day span we went to see Drexel-ODU (not a fan but I am from the area around ODU, so I was intrigued), Penn-Brown and Temple-St. Joe's when they had Jameer Nelson and went undefeated through league play. If you're a college bball fan, it's damn hard to beat Philly, especially around this time of year. |
