Seriously though...

Are these allegations bad enough for the NCAA to get involved, and if so, are they bad enough for Barnes to get hit with a show cause?

Says a player was cheating on a test and the instructor that saw it ended up passing him anyway. The article doesn't say that she was forced to pass him or that he wasn't disciplined. Maybe he was flunked on that test but was still able to do satisfactorily overall. News organizations will run with this newsletter article if there's some kind of conspiracy or possible fraud.

The article seems to be angling for a UNC situation...doesn't seem to be even remotely the case. Unless they can prove that Barnes was on the other side of that cell phone from Brown. :)

Seems like it's minor compared to what we have already experienced. Also don't see how that's Barnes fault unless he bailed said student out.

Probably missing the point but we need to shut the entire program down now!!!

One player who was supposedly seen cheating on a test (and who soon after that left the university) is far from academic fraud. If there is any chance that the school or basketball program was doing anything improper as well then there will be a huge media chit storm starting today. So far it's just a story by a writer for a higher education newsletter... not exactly the Woodward and Bernstein in the Washington Post. Yet.

Seems to have very little substance behind it.

Yay our media doing their best to make our athletics look good any way they can. Even though this is beyond a non issue that has nothing to do with our coach. Heaven forbid they see it for what it is.
