I'm of the opinion that we should look to fill out the rest of our class with 5th year transfers and look to 2016 as the class that will be our foundation for our climb back to the spotlight with Ado, Blackwell, etc. I just wonder how many high school kids we would be able to pull at this point in the recruiting process that wouldn't be recruited over in the next few years.

That being said, here's a list of transfers that would be difference makers for next year IMO using our final 2 spots. What say you, Volnation?

Damion Lee G/F Drexel 6'6" 200lbs 38.1mpg 21.4ppg 6.1rpg 44%fg 39%3pt 89%ft

Shonn Miller F Cornell 6'7" 210lbs
31.3mpg 16.8ppg 43%fg 27% 3pt 83%ft

Anthony Collins PG South Florida 6'1" 175lbs 33.9mpg 7.1ppg 5.2apg 2.2a:to

Tyler Harris F Providence 6'9" 223lbs
26.7mpg 9.9ppg 4rpg 42%fg 29%3pt 73%ft

Derrick Gordon G UMASS 6'3" 205lbs
28.4mpg 9.8ppg 4.9rpg 40%fg 8%3pt 74%ft

Galal Cancer CG Cornell 6'2" 180lbs
29.9mpg 9.6ppg 3.0apg 3.4rpg 39%fg 38%3pt 81%ft

Aaron Cosby CG Illinois 6'3" 200lbs
25.3mpg 7.8ppg 29%fg 31%3pt 80%ft

Trey Lewis CG Cleveland State 6'2" 190lbs
35.5mpg 15.8ppg 4.4rpg 2.8apg 44%fg 40%3pt 76%ft

Rafael Maia C Brown 6'9" 245lbs
30.1mpg 9.9ppg 8.7rpg 54%fg 26%3pt 55%ft

Sterling Smith G Coppin State 6'4" 185lbs
30.1mpg 13.9ppg 4.9rpg 47%fg 42%3pg 77%ft

Mike Thorne C UNC-C 6'11" 270lbs
26.1 mpg 10.1ppg 7.3rpf 53%fg 53%ft

Joseph Uchebo C 6'10" 245lbs 6.2mpg 1.5ppg 1.9rpg 39%fg 75%ft

Hopefully CRB can pull a few highly rated rabbits out of his hat from the high school ranks. In the case that he can't, all of these guys would be excellent contributors next year imo.

Mike Thorne and Tyler Harris would be great. Damion Lee would be sweet also.

It would be cool for Tyler Harris to come for a season. I'm sure big bro has dropped a big in his ear

I know the situation that Barnes is walking into roster wise is not what he's use to. Does he have much history of taking grad transfers or jucos?

I think its going to be interesting to see how Coach Barnes recruits here. Im not saying that he can't do it all I'm saying is its a little bit easier to recruit to Texas than it is Tennessee. I think that will really challenge him.

Not really. They weren't getting McD AAs until Barnes came. Barnes has more recruiting ties and acumen than Pearl and Martin and they both got a couple five stars, Pearl had a few top ten classes.

Barnes will do great. He will sell all the NBA talent he produces. I think coaching KD is bigger than people think when it comes to recruiting.

Why do people only think Barnes has TX ties? The man has coached all over the country. He is from NC. he has coaches either as an Asst or HC in MD, AL, SC and few other places as well. His staff had connections all over as well. He wasn't like Mack Brown and just sitting in TX only. Barnes has been bringing in kids from all over to TX.

Its really nice to see that Tyler Harris has us in his 10 schools he's interested in. I think coach Barnes could utilize all his skill set, because Tyler Harris is so versatile.

We certainly need to address our PG situation followed getting at least one big man. One true post that's 6"10' or better would be super nice. I hear Woodson is available.
