Officiating

These calls have kept Tennessee out of this game. Two fouls on the Richardson dunk. No actual foul on the would be Tennessee steal after the dunk. Pretty sure the ball on the overturned call was off the State guy.

If you have a Twitter go check out @rockytopinsider and look at the vines on some of the officiating calls

Not that it changes anything, but some of the calls were laughable

Officiating continues to get worse every year. There was some obvious home cooking tonight. Not that it lost us the game but sure didn't nelp. Turner's career night with 8 threes was the difference.

We actually had 10 threes to their 11. Turner had 8 of theirs.

Exactly, the guy averages 13 points and goes off for 8 threes and 27 points against us. Had he just scored his average , we probably Winn the game. Plus they out scored us 15 points at the FT line

27 poons?? Is he related to Travis Henry? That's a lot of poon!

Disturbing trend imo. We're failing to identify the hot hand and do anything defensively to limit his attempts. This is the 3rd game thus far where a guy hits at least 5 3s and it either cost us the game or nearly did.

Excellent point !

It's up to us to come up with a defense that can adjust and stop a hot shooter. Tyndall likes zone, so has he never heard of adjusting to a Box and 1?

I've never heard of Man-to-man busters. We're probably gonna get lit up all year since Donnie stays in a zone.
Did you not hear Donnie? They went man-to-man and he still hit the 3. He was launching 6 feet beyond the arc and making them. Can't defend that!

Dumb. A box and 1 is junk under the best circumstances...with our post deficiencies it would be suicide. We shaded our zone to Butlers sharpshooters and the results were good, remember?

Nearly all of Turner's bombs were contested - sometimes you just have to give credit to the other guy. Better to look at the FT and rebounding disparity..

Where's Tyndall's quote saying they went man, or better yet what point in the game, because I don't recall it.
Post game interview with Bob Kesling on the Coach Donnie Tyndall Show. He said they went man-to-man for 3 possessions and Turner nailed another 3.
