with his Mississippi connections wouldn't he have known or at least had some insights on CDT IF there was cheating at Southern Miss before leaving Ole Miss for Tennessee

There's no proof of cheating against Coach Tyndall and, so far, we don't even know if the allegations point to him or members of his staff. At this point, it doesn't look like Donnie himself was involved in whatever may have gone down, but a person, or persons, on his staff at USM may have been.

I say we all just wait until the smoke clears. Then and only then will we know what happened.

Pinkins has been around D1 recruiting half his life. The guy Pinkins was working for at Ole Miss was openly offering a spot on his staff for Skal Labissiere!

If assistants would only work for coaches who don't bend the rules, their pool of jobs would be limited to....not many.

Probably not. That actually makes him the best viable candidate as an interim should the need arise. He is the most experienced assistant and knows what it is like to recruit and scheme in the big conferences. He also isn't tied to USM in any way.

I blame the disgruntled Wade O'Connor and Frank Smith for this whole misbegotten investigation. May their holidays be miserable.
