So much for letting the guys play and have fun...

“@wesrucker247: #Vols PG Kevin Punter is from The Bronx and said Tyndall is trying to coach the playground out of him, telling him to stop “fancy-passin."

@wesrucker247: So basically Punter threw a perfect no-look pass for a dunk, and Tyndall was like, “Great pass. Don’t ever (bleeping) do that again.””

Good gracious. I don't suppose you guys have heard many other coaches at practice. Hilarious.
Coach K says the same thing and he's a genius. Throw a no look oop in a tight game that ends in a turnover, and see where a good coach puts you.
And he will talk to punter off camera and tell him the same thing.

Win and the "fun" will be there. As for letting them play, heck the last coach wasn't big on that either.

Would you like to be leading the league in turnovers ? Lol

What's ironic, is if Tyndall was stressing free style / play ground ball, you would be posting he doesn't require his players to be disciplined like Martin lol.

It was so much more fun when no fun was actually written into the game plan...under Zo. :cray:

You just can't get over it can you

Get over what, it's very simple bro, people complained about the last staff being conservative and not letting the point guard play, then said how Tyndall was gonna let the guys play and have fun, yet no look passes that result in dunks are reprimanded. I found that interesting, that's all Sally.

the point is you took another little smartass jab on day 2 of practice and you don't know a thing about what a coach is trying to get his team to do and no look passes isn't one of them.

So in your opinion no look passes that result in dunks are a no-no? That's one reason Cal lands one of the best PGs every year, let's those guys play their style, which can lead to some turnovers but often includes highlight reel plays and momentum builders.

No look passes on the second day of practice is not what we want a alley oop is fine but when you give no looks its just flat out dangerous and yes people complained an they had a right cause even a middle school coach knows better than to Stan in one place dribble have a screen then scramble to feed the post

day 2, absolutely. Down the line with some W's and proven talent on the court, he won't care.

And Cal's players aren't no look passing anyway. They are dribble drive. They penetrate and finish, kick out or lob it up for a trailing big man.

The coach is trying to establish a base early on in practice and work on fundamentals. No look pass isn't fundamental.

Really, cause here's a no look from a Kentucky big man just a few weeks ago...

And the quote didn't say don't do that, there will come a time, it said "don't ever f*****g do that again".
