Welp. Hart says "Rising Star". I hope KMart is offering a good special on coaches. By rising star I hope he means:

1. Chris Mack
2. Tim Miles
3. Archie Miller
4. Richard Pitino
5. Keith Dambrot

Not:

Michael White
Donnie Tyndall
John Doe
Joe Smith

If Pitino came here and had any success at all he would bolt for UL when his dad retires. He is in his 60s you know...

Pitino Jr. is a future star I think, but I don't think he would leave Minnesota for Tennessee..

Stew Morrill of Utah State would be somebody to at least talk to. He's got a 581-271 record and coaching in the SEC would be a step up for him.

If you are not going to go after a major coach and want some up and comers, well try these:

I would not mind looking at some assistant coaches from some top teams.

Steve Forbes - Wichita State - coached at UT under Bruce pearl. Ace recruiter and coach.

Kurtis Townsend - Kansas - ace recruiter.

Norm Roberts - Kansas

Dwanye Stephens - Michigan State

Forbes and Townsend are very good. You can't beat top notch recruiters.

Just remembered another name. I will edit the first post, but a true Bluelight Special would be Keith Dambrot from Akron.

231-107 at Akron
337-174 overall

Not quite the resume Bruce had, but similar story in some ways. Check out his wiki.

I doubt Marshall is interested in us, but we should try. Pitino is worth chasing, though if his dad retires in two years we'd be screwed.

Pitino's not leaving Minnesota after one year. Also, not sure I get the hype for him. Did a great job at FIU in his one year there, but Minnesota went 5-8 over final 13 pre-NIT games to fall out of NCAAT.
