Question is will he leave for that kind of draft position or stay for his senior year and try to improve his stock?

BTW they have Jordan McRae as the last pick in the draft.

With his size that's about his limitation unless he just develops a consistent 18-20 footer and is a real threat from there.

He could possibly move up in a weaker draft next year, well see.

Depends on how much he and his family need the money or if they prefer for to see him Graduate? I think he Stays One More Year!!

If I was him, I would go be drafted by the sixers in the second round lol

Right now teams look at him and see DaJuan Blair, or at best, a less skilled Jared Sullinger. He has to expand his game or he will struggle to finish at the rim. That being said, rebounding is a skill that translates well from college to pro basketball. I think he stays because another big year could put him at the bottom of the 1st round.

Although, if he stays and next year's team tanks, then he could drop it off the draft

There is very little difference between being a 2nd round pick and being undrafted at this point. It doesn't matter how the team does, it matters how Stokes plays. NBA teams aren't drafting the team.

NBA teams tend to draft on upside and potential not on current status, staying at UT another year will not get Stokes drafted in the first round.

If you are going to be 6'8" in the NBA, then you need to be able to shoot. I'm not sure stokes has the skill set to make it in the NBA.

I know most people think it's ridiculous, but honestly why not go through fall camp with the football team if you're stokes? The risk of injury in fall camp isn't huge. If you're good, see if you can potentially make some money out of it. His body and skill set is more suited for the NFL than the NBA. If it's obvious you aren't going to immediately start and make a name for yourself, then the worst you can do is decide not to play football, then play your senior basketball season and build your stock for one more year.

I know he mentioned it was in the back of his mind, but if I were Jones (or really even just someone looking out for stokes' interests), then I would recommend it

Stokes coming back will see defense all season long like he did in the second half vs UF today. Who will we have on the team next year that will force teams not to double him constantly, as soon as he touches the ball?

Time to go to school VolArmy74. He's faced that all year long.....you see anyone on his six all year? It's like what was said before, if he can come back and master an 18 footer or 15 footer shot then he just up'd his draft stock. It's up to him. You want NBA or do you want Turkey? I know what my answer would be.

The NBA is a specialist league. Stokes is a rebounding specialist. And his post game has improved greatly since hes been at UT. Weve seen hes not afraid to take a FT line jumper but really its just a matter of him practicing it more. I think he has a ton of upside and could definitely play in the league.
