Tennessee basketball coach Cuonzo Martin will put a veteran team on the floor next season, but five newcomers will be asked to play a role. How much a role has yet to be determined, but, as three freshmen and a junior college transfer have already demonstrated in the Rocky Top summer league in Knoxville, they are capable of making contributions.

Here’s a quick look at each incoming player:

Williams On Pops
"I think he’s got a little bit better feel for the game (than Makajuola) because he’s been around it more. "

From what he said in his article on utsports site he's only been playing 4 years.
What gives?

The offensive game is definitely ahead of Yemi and its not even close. He played against Weezy tonight and put a few decent post moves together against him.

I was pleasantly surprised by Pops. He did move fairly well and goodness he was aggressive. Perhaps too aggressive on defense. One thing I noticed about him was that he never blocks out anyone. Even with him being huge, I think he needs to box.

Bobby Maze was unbelievable in the first game. He was passing out of his mind!
