I didn't realize Ole Miss was 11-2. Looks like their only real win was over an average Rutgers team, though.

So a week ago, Lunardi had Tennessee easily in the tournament. Now, UT isn't even in his 'Next 4 Out'. Was Memphis that bad of a loss?

Anyone know why this game is in Knoxville this year? Ole Miss came to TBA last year too. Result of conference expansion?

UT RPI dropped 30ish spots after losing to Memphis. Home losses hurt. A couple road wins and UT should be back in the mix but right now an RPI in the 70's with no real eye-popping wins means UT is off the bubble.

And with the SEC being so bad this year, we're probably only going to get 4 in the dance again.
Looking like we'll be 5th behind Ole Miss.

We have some work to do in the SEC if we want to even get a chance for the tournament. Hopefully we can grind out some good wins because there is no way we will be blowing teams out, even in a weak SEC.

these previous posts further tell why this is a big game for us.....we must play well at home and steal a few on the road. We are in need of some quality wins. This won't be great, but it will help.

This is a must win game, IMO

If we lose tonight, there is a good chance we lose 4 straight. With Bama and UK on the road next.

This is a matchup where we will really miss Maymon. We need an answer for Murphy Holloway. Kenny and Yemi better be on their games. I think we need to pack the paint and be physical down there with them and force them to take outside shots.

I'd love it if we could hit a couple early threes (surely we'll get the looks), but that is probably asking too much. Not sure if I even want to see them waste a possession attempting that :shakehead:
