Is the only one I'll be involed with from now on. After seeing the rock, and all the other things involved.. Our football team is dead.

BUT. We are on course to a great basketball season and I believe we are watching the University's transformation into a basketball school unfold before our eyes. CCM was a great hire and he's made immediate progress, Dooley hath not.

So here's to the new era of basketball greatness, and football mediocrity. A new Kentucky, if you will. Bittersweet, yes.. But I'm not complaining. I love me some hoops. :rock:


EDIT: Since I'm obviously offending a lot of you, this isn't meant to be taken COMPLETELY SERIOUS. It's a satirical comparison of Basketball to Football with the current state of affairs.

I do, however, mean to imply that I am MUCH more proud of our basketball regime than our football one. Thanks.

Our basketball team has the potential to do some great things, but we are and always will be a football school.

Not what I intended, but I see where this is going for you to be correct. I was intending on a comparison of sorts, but I'll bare with you and agree to put this in the football forum.. With a changed title, because it'd get confusing with the current one.

You cant make a post praising the bball team without football comments such as "I wonder if Martin can coach football." Or "dooley should take notes"

It's related to the state of the football program that we now view ourselves more like Kentucky. Unfortuantely football is the money sport at UT. The UTAD and BOT with its various leaders in this century have not seen fit to fix it long term the right way. Clue - it takes money to make money. Always has been true and always will be true.

UT football is just a sleeping giant. If Lane Kiffin wasn't such an ass hole who knows where UT would be right now.
