| Question about recruiting I have a good friend that has a son that is 7-1 and still growing. He is from a small town in Alabama and hasn't got much national pub. He went to a camp over the weekend and now the "big boys" are taking note of him. FSU offered last night. I know he has some interest in UT, but we haven't made contact. We need to at least take a look at him. He could grow another 1-2 inches. His dad was 6-10 and played pro football. Would it be OK for me to email someone with the basketball program? |

| It'd probably be better if you sent a highlight tape. Also, I didn't look on the athletics website but sometimes there's a link for you to inquire about being recruited. |

| Once a couple more programs offer, the recruiting sites will award him some shiny stars. (Even though they will be completely oblivious to who he is.) |

Also, Tennessee has camps during summer, just binging him to their camp would open their eyes up to him.
As others have said though, his coach needs to get on the ball.
I assume he is, but if not, play AAU, and for a good team, preferably one that participates in the EYBL league (Alabama challenge iirc). He will get noticed real quick. |
