| Recruiting Update 7/22 I usually wouldn't do another update this quickly, but there have definitely been a few interesting moves in the last few days that have a direct impact on some of our targets, mainly Nichols.
- Florida today got a committment from Chris Walker, a consensus top 10 player who also happens to be a PF. Nichols has made it clear in multiple statements, depth at his position will play a major role, he's looking to come in and play. There's a VERY good chance this has entirely eliminated Florida.
-Mike Millers brother has left Missouri and is now at auburn. Both Hubbs and Nichols played for M33M, the aau team sponsored by mike miller and coached by mike and his brothers first cousin. Many said that was the draw to Missouri for both guys, the strong ties they had with the Miller family. Highly doubtful that auburn becomes a serious contender, so it would also appear you can scratch Missouri off of both players list. That was one of few schools seriously in play for both, so if they want to play together that's one less school to worry about.
-Nick King in an interview with Rob restated that Tennessee is firmly in his top 4. Credits CCM for his persistence, and really is complementary of the type of man CCM is. Repeated his intentions to take a visit in the fall at some point.
-The buzz around Jw3 cotinues to swirl. It doesn't appear likely that UK will offer, so that's good news, Georgetown is definitely still in play though. A few people that are usually pretty reliable seem to think if it ended today Jw3 would be a Vol.
- Rob Lewis has put in order who he thinks the staff is targeting, from highest priority first: 1/2 Nichols, Hubbs 3/4 King/Jw3 5. Markel Crawford 6. Schuyler Rimmer 7. Jajuan Johnson 8. Quinton Stephens. |

| Landing 3 or the top 5 guys you mentioned would be amazing. Last year we were recruiting and signing guys that wouldn't stand a chance at getting a scholly in this yrs class |

| ... Landing a top 10 class should give ccm the tools to make a deep run in the NCAA tourney. Let's keep this coach happy |

| The Auburn move is interesting. If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure Hubbs has visited Auburn twice? I know for sure he visited once but I'm not sure about the second time.
Nick King making those comments about CCM are really interesting. I figured we had pretty much stopped pushing so hard. LOVE to see us land King. He's still my favorite recruit out of this whole class.

| Also, who's the talented guard Florida signed? That should come into play as well. They had their AAU tournament championship game televised about a week ago and that kid is an absolute beast. Not sure if he's more of a point guard or will slide over to play the 2. But I'm sure that comes into play if Nichols and Hubbs are likely to be packaged deals.

CCM has definitely come a long way with King, seeing how we weren't in his top 6 a few months back. Still think Memphis is the team to beat, but with him waiting to make a decision that gives CCM more time to work and also gives pastner more time to fall on his face. |

| Thanks for the info, but for those of us who don't follow BB recruiting closely at this time, I would like to know who JW3 and M33M are. If you are posting for "cool people in the know", that's fine, but if you would like to keep the rest of us informed, please use their names just once before the initials start flying. Just a request. Thanks anyway. |
