One of their bigs transferred right(not Harris)? |

One of their bigs transferred right(not Harris)? | Their starting front court of Howell and Leslie are very good. Overall, better than Stokes and Maymon, IMO.
Curtis Painter was the guy who left. He was a very solid backup.
Richard Howell has moments where he looks unstoppable, in part to a solid mid-range game, but other times he looks completely lost. His biggest problem is mental - makes a lot of stupid fouls.
CJ Leslie of course is a great player. Although he's really playing out of his position. He's a 3 being forced to play the PF spot.
Vandenberg and De Thaey have potential to be OK backups. De Thaey in particular.
Howell and Leslie are NBA picks. No doubt Stokes will be, but not sure about Maymon yet. If Hall plays closer to his potential, we will have better depth, and it could give us the edge. |

| To be more accurate, I think Howell and Leslie are more skilled than Stokes and Maymon. Certainly Maymon's intensity and physicality makes up for A LOT. |

| I'll be honest, I think they would have an edge at every position. The only edges I think we would hold over NC State if we were to play is coaching and "intangibles".
I think Zo is a better coach than Gott. Gott is decent, but mostly he lets his great talent play. Bobby Lutz a big key to NC State's success. He's one of the best scout coaches in college basketball, IMO.
As far as intangibles go, I think we will be a more disciplined team with greater intensity. That goes a long way in college hoops.

Then again, tough cover for stokes on the other end. |

Then again, tough cover for stokes on the other end. | I don't think he would dominate. Leslie has long arms and is very quick and pesky. Fronts guys who are bigger than him and is pretty good at forcing them into turnovers. Also, tough to shoot over him because of his length. His lone downfall on the defensive side of the ball is his intensity - sometimes gets the best of him. |

I'm a bit of a homer though. |

He's at his best around the rim. If you force him to make jump shots, he's not nearly as effective. |

| I really hope some of these teams end up being tourney-worthy...I can see it now, losing the big road games (GTWN, UVA), and then winning most of the home games to NIT teams...hopefully some of them are stronger contenders. |
