One thing I found interesting, doesn't expect much from chievous. Said there will be minutes with foul trouble or injury but doesn't expect much from him at all, role player at most.

Very high on Kenny and Jordan which is what we've been hearing out of practices and what not.

This will be a good thread to look back on in Feb/March to see if this guy knows what he's talking about.

The wing position is so wide open, I wonder what he is basing Chievous as a role player on. Even if Jordy plays to his potential there are plenty of minutes to be had at the wing.

I thought the only practices they have been having were individual work and maybe 3 man groups. Have there been full team workouts since the season ended?

I was a bit surprised as well by his stance on chievous, didn't elaborate, but said he has a lot to work on including his shot(I thought it looked good).

Maybe he's penciling in Richardson and mcbee to at minimum similar roles as last year, and IMO that's not necessarily going to be the case.

I think Italy will tell us a lot. Is Moore polished enough and ready to be the backup point or will that be delegated to mcbee and Richardson again? Is Edwards going to be able to come in and assume the role of tatum and hold down the 3? Is jordy going to finally play consistent, even if not up to his potential, atleast give us consistency?

I honestly think the backup PG will be either Richardson or McRae. Skylar just isn't athletic enough for it. Jordan can do it if he focuses on running the offense and not his own shot. That would keep Martin from relying on a true freshman again.

Something Quinn mentioned that could go with this was that we could see trae at the 2 if Ccm feels like e can exploit the matchup. So maybe jordy at PG trae at the 2 and then Edwards Richardson or chievous at the 3...

Said we could see trae some at the 2 so we can use his scoring and also so he isn't force to play 35 minutes of PG.

That may happen, but playing Trae at 2 has been talked about for 2 years and hasn't happened yet. Just don't see the other options being able to hold down the point very long.

I don't know what matchup Martin would exploit. Teams are going to guard Golden with basically the same guy, whether Golden dribbles the ball up the floor or not. Defensively, you're not going to match-up any differently if, say Golden,McRae,Richardson,Stokes, and Maymon are on the floor, if you call Golden the SG or the PG.

Golden's biggest stuggles were with fatigue last year. When he was fresh he was very good, but if he wore down there was no backup plan. I am not a big fan of turning a wing player into a backup PG, just so they can turn last years PG back into a wing player.
