I agree. Moreso with McRae than Golden. Trae, even with modest improvement, is solid at his position, but if McRae can really step it up, develop a desire to get in the paint from the perimeter, and really improve in the consistency department, he could be the key to this team's success. SG is the only position where we have a giant ???.

This team will be pretty good, but beyond that, they will likely go as far as McRae's improvement will take them.

Tennessee's rankings seemed about right, as does Florida's (but the comment doesn't make much sense). Kentucky was about five spots too high. And the absence of Missouri is strange.

But these were done on the fourth, before Bennett had eliminated Kentucky and Florida. Maybe both would drop in his updated rankings.
I think that's realistic, but I wouldn't put my money on it.

He has as good a chance as anyone. Was all-SEC.

Something like 15 ppg, 5 boards, 2 TO's and a slash of 45/40/80 would be idal.

That would be INCREDIBLE. For McRae to put up those numbers either one or both of Stokes and Maymon gets hurt and they become a perimeter team or this team has a magical season.

He's the leading returning scorer in the SEC and had a great season last year, although he did trail off a bit towards the end of the season. But if Florida wins the SEC next year, then chances are Boynton will get the award. It usually does go to the best player on the best team. So if Kentucky won it would probably be Noel or Poythress, and if Tennessee won it would likely be Maymon or Stokes.

Gators, you are going to get a lot of heat from a good bit of UT fans for calling Boynton the SEC POY front runner for one reason. Most of our fans have only seen him play us or in the SEC tourney. He has struggled against UT every game we have played and in the SEC Tourney he was wildly inconsistent. He played much better against other competition and was a matchup nightmare for a lot of teams. I'm having a hard time coming up with someone I feel will definitely have a better season with better numbers tbh.

Probably mcrae and Edwards. Richardson played mostly the 2 last year.

Also, maymon may see a few minutes at the 3, but I doubt it will be many. Unless he had made giant strides in his game and is playing like draymond green, then he'll see major minutes at the 3.

I'm kinda hoping that Richardson is still working on PG skills. I really don't know if he could be a full-time backup PG, but it would surely only improve his game, right?

It definitely wouldn't hurt. I expect Moore to be better prepared for backup pg than Richmond though, jmo.

To me josh needs his biggest work in his shot. The d was good, and body was pretty good, improve his shot and he's much better. The additional ball handling will do nothing but benefit him, and he likes to drive so it'll definitely help in that aspect.

People have been talking about his shot recently. Did he not have the most reliable mid-range jumper last season? Granted he couldn't do much else, but I was always impressed with that
